"Vote for my story, folks! I'm pouring all my energy, emotions, and probably a few tears into this—so don't leave me hanging! Show some love!"
Sri Devi pov:
"As my marriage ascends to its glorious zenith, amidst the sprawling grandeur of the Full Chola Empire, I am enveloped by the fragrance of flowers at every step, a divine aura that follows me like a royal decree. 'Manjari, how does the palace look?' I inquired, my voice tinged with anticipation. With a reverence befitting her station, she replied, 'Ilavarasi, the palace is adorned with a breathtaking array of blooms—roses in every shade, dahlias, lotuses, and countless other flowers of indescribable beauty, each richer in scent than the last. The entire chamber is bathed in their intoxicating fragrance; it is as though the very heavens have descended to bless us.' 'Only the chamber?' I asked,
"Yes, Ilavarasi, yes. Only your chamber and the mandap area have been decorated with flowers and scents. I believe they have yet to decorate the entire empire, but do not worry, Ilavarasi."
"But today is my haldi and mehendi, right? Is anyone allowed to come inside my chamber to wish me during the haldi ceremony?" I asked, my voice soft yet filled with longing. "I've only ever felt the presence of five girls around me in my life—it's you, my mother, my pati (grandmother), and the maids. But today, I wish for more people around me, for more blessings and wishes as I begin this new journey in my marriage." I pouted, my heart full of hope and expectation.
"By the way, I want to meet my grandmother. Take me to her, Manjari," I said, heading toward my grandmother's chamber. The guard announced my arrival, and after a brief moment, I was allowed to enter. I greeted her warmly, "Chellam (sweetheart), I hear you're about to marry the Chera prince. Is that true?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
"Yes, Patti," I replied softly, my heart heavy with the weight of her words.
"I thought I still had more years to spend with my pethi (granddaughter)," she said, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and acceptance. "But what can be done, my girl? Anyway, girls must go to another house for their marital life," Patti exclaimed, her voice tinged with both pride and sorrow.
"By the way, Patti, what are the marital duties I have to fulfill after my marriage? I haven't learned about them since I've been more focused on war crafts. Can you please explain them to me?" I pouted.
" chellam , marriage is an arrangement between two families where two families share their feelings and emotions even it is sorrow or happiness, you should obey your husband, whatever he says, if he has some concerns about that he have his own reason for that, so trust your husband my gold, he has all the rights on you, so give yourself to him child"
She finished her mini speech," pati what do you mean by give yourself to him I don't understand "I said , " my gold, hmm leave everything to your husband your queries, emotions, even it is sorrow or happiness, your soul, your body every single thing you have my child, you will understand once you get married and don't worry I will always guide you in marital rituals like how to surrender yourself to your husband, in the marriage of first night, he will " she is cutted by a maid voice""Rajamatha and Princess Sridevi are asked to prepare for the haldi and mehandi ceremony, scheduled to be held tonight." 'What...? Is it soon? It is too soon! I want to ask more questions about marriage. I thought, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within me."
"But it's too sudden, tell king that I'm meeting him" she said to maid, " my child don't worry about anything, always god parvati will be with you in any circumstances so don't worry my gold" she said and hugged me tightly, " what will happen if he didn't accept me as his wife paty, a girl like me how can a prince will accept me paty" i worried,
"See, my gold," she broke the hug, gently holding my chin between her fingers, and said, "Child, you are the most beautiful creature that God has created. You look like an angel, my child. You never hold any grudges with anyone; you are a pure soul, my gold. No one will ever say anything negative after meeting you. I'm telling you, my child, this ability of yours is going to be your greatest strength. Never look down on yourself. You are the princess of this Chola Empire, and no one can defeat you with a sword. So, be confident in yourself, my child."
She finished, and I hugged her tightly once more, feeling the warmth of her words sink deep into my heart. After a few minutes, I excused myself and went to get ready.
On the other hand:
"Rajamatha nandhini is coming," the guard announced. After a few minutes, she was asked to meet the king.
"Why are the marriage arrangements being rushed, my son? The marriage is in two days, right? Why the hurry?" Rajamatha nandhini asked, her voice filled with concern and worry.
"Mother, we have received a war notice from Gwalior," the king replied, his tone heavy with the weight of responsibility. "It will take two days for the message to reach here, and in that time, I must marry off Sridevi to the Chera prince. By strengthening this alliance, we can gain more war equipment and soldiers. I know it is difficult to defeat their empire with their vast army, but I cannot turn back now."
The king's voice faltered slightly, revealing the inner conflict he faced.
"A war? What...?" nandhini exclaimed, her voice trembling with fear.
"Yes, Amma," the king replied, his voice steady but heavy with concern. "Before the war, I want to prepare for the wedding, as well as for the war itself. The children and women will be safely migrated to another region before the battle begins. I've already informed the Cheras about this, and they have pledged to help us. So, don't worry, Amma. We will definitely win this war."
"But why must there be a war?" nandhini asked, her heart aching at the thought.
"We have a dispute over the transaction of goods, and we refused to surrender when they demanded our kingdom become part of theirs," the king explained, his eyes filled with a deep, resolute sadness. "That's the main reason they've turned against us. But don't worry, Ma... we will definitely win the war."
The king's voice was unwavering, though the weight of the situation hung heavily in the air.
Authors pov:
"The Princess's chamber, ablaze with vibrant yellow and emerald green blossoms, exhaled a fragrance that captivated both kingdoms. A riot of colors filled the air, while the garden, transformed into a miniature Vrindavan, teemed with the joyous chirping of birds. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange, a sense of poignant beauty descended upon the scene."
"Rajkumari, your bath awaits' .servant said, clad in a light elegant white cloth that barely concealed her ample bosom, the servant glided towards the bathing area. Steam rose from the tub, filled with warm water perfumed with rose petals and the intoxicating scent of sandalwood. her skin glistening with moisture, luxuriated in the fragrant bath, gently massaging her soft curves. A second bath awaited, this time a creamy, seductive pool of milk infused with rosewood, promising to soothe her weary muscles. After a blissful soak in the rose petal bath, she emerged, her skin a silken canvas, and eagerly anticipated the indulgence of the milk bath.
Her white clothes were taken apart, and a new yellow blouse with a green border, decorated with full petals, was placed perfectly over her chest. The fit was neither too low nor too high; it was perfect for her shoulders and breasts. A grand yellow saree, incorporated with green and adorned with elements of gold and silver, was added to it. The grand saree weighed about 2 kg to wear. She looked wonderful, and an angelic look appeared on her face. The maid made her sit at the dressing table.
"She looks like a goddess, even without any jewelry. Any man could fall for her beauty," a servant commented to another, which was overheard by Sridevi. An unknown blush came to her cheeks. The servants applied kajal to her eyes and adorned her with a pearl mang tika on her head, covered entirely with real pearls. She wore a beautiful pearl necklace, bangles, and golden anklets. Even the gods could be jealous of her beauty.
After the shringaar, she went to the mandap where the haldi ceremony was held. Many people had gathered, and after the haldi, the mehendi ceremony began. Sridevi was seated to have the mehendi applied.
"Manju, how will I see my husband? How does he look? Will he be tall or short... hmmm... Is he kind or rude... When will he come to our palace?" Sridevi asked.
"He will arrive tonight, Sri. Don't worry, he will be very happy when he sees you, and I think he will be very handsome and intelligent," Manjari said.
"Hmm, if the state is in danger, I will definitely involve myself in the war, no matter what," Sridevi said determinedly.
"No, Sri... But... you..." Manjari was cut off by Sridevi.
"Get me the Braille of the Gwalior king, Manju. I want to sense who he is and also his associates," Sridevi said furiously. (Braille is a system of raised dots that can be read with the fingers by people who are blind or have low vision.)
"But Sri—" Manjari was cut off by Sridevi's words.
"It's my order, Manjari."
Within seconds, Manjari went to fetch the information about Gwalior. After a few minutes, Manjari returned with huge books of Braille and some photos of the Gwalior kingdom.
Meanwhile, the mehendi on her legs was completed, and they began on her hands.
"Wait for a few minutes," Sridevi said to the mehendi artist. Manjari handed over the photo of the Gwalior king. Sri laid her hand on the Braille.
"Who is he?" Sridevi asked.
"He is the ruling king of Gwalior, vijaya vikramaditya rao" Manjari said.
"Hmm..."
Meanwhile in gwalior:
"All of you prepare for the war. By tomorrow night, we have to go to Srinthagar," the army chief commanded.
"Jai Bajrangbali!" the commander hailed.
The soldiers repeated, "Jai Bajrangbali."
All the soldiers departed from Gwalior.
On the other hand:
"Who is he?" Sridevi questioned, keeping her soft hand on the Braille.
"He is the son of Vijaya Vikramaditya Rao, Shivaji Vikramaditya Rao," said Manjari.
While tracking her fingers in his portrait, Sridevi said, "Yes... I will definitely beat him and his army," determined.
After some time, she asked Manjari to explain the kingdom and its facilities while the mehendi artist painted her hands. She had gathered enough information about the kingdom from Manjari by reading the book and hearing rumors.
"What is the name that I want to write, princess?" the mehendi artist asked.
"Uth..." Suddenly, chaos erupted around the surrounding as she was about to say the name.
"What is happening, Manjari?" Sridevi asked.
"I think the Cheras are coming, princess," Manjari replied.
"Why are all the things happening so fast?" she thought. After the mehendi, she came to her chamber to rest for the next ritual. Suddenly, she remembered that she hadn't applied the name of her husband.
Sridevi's pov:
I will apply mehendi once i finished my dinner, my sudden thoughts were interrupted by something,
Suddenly, I heard a noise; someone was peeking inside my room.
"Who is that?" I asked.
"Privacy," a man roared.
"A man? Who is that..." My thoughts trembled.
"Who is that?" I asked." "
"Ahhhhh... haa... My senses are ablaze! I never imagined I'd be going to marry such a breathtaking, intoxicating sexy woman., is she even blind or what?? how can a beauty can be arrested like this" he murmured something that i can't even hear
" I asked who are you, who gave the permission to enter my chamber ,if you step one step forward I will order to kill you" I roared,
" ahh .....what a seductive voice , I will definitely claim you in my bed and hear your screaming voice daily , yes they said this the business deal just to adjust to marry you , but while seeing you I'm just gonna fuck you daily and make my sex toy baby" he murmured something even that also i can't hear,
I didn't understand a single word or meaning of what he was speaking, but I didn't step back. I took my sword and swayed it. A manly voice hitched in my ears.
"I'm the prince of the Chera Empire. My name is Uthama Cheran," he said.
I lowered my sword. I didn't know how to react, so I greeted him, "Vanakam."
"Vanakam, Ilavarasi. I just came to know that ,who I'm actually going to marry," he said.
I didn't speak anything. After a few seconds, I felt something brushing against my skin. I felt uncomfortable with that. Suddenly, I sensed he was touching my cheeks to my nape. I shivered to hell and stepped back. I didn't know the feeling, but I got very uncomfortable with it.
"Vanakam, Ilavaraseh (Prince)," a voice from my brother came into the room.
"Prince, what are you doing here?" my brother asked.
"I just came to see Ilavarasi, that's it. nothing to be worried , I have some work to be done," Uthama greeted and went outside.
"You take rest, Akka. Tomorrow evening is the marriage, right?" he said.
"Karna..." I called.
"It's okay, Akka, don't worry. All set. We will definitely win the war. Don't worry, the Cheras are also helping us in the war, so don't worry," he fake smiled and said.
"If anything happens to me, please don't cry, Akka," he requested.
"If anything happens to you, I will not forgive myself, Karna. Remember that. Win the war and come back," I said. "Hara Hara Mahadev," I raged.
"Hara Hara Mahadev," he raged. "I will save the kingdom no matter what, Akka," he said. That's my brother, I thought. "I will come, Akka, take care," he said and left.
"As usual, I removed my saree and slept in a thin blouse that revealed my cleavage and bare hip. This is my usual attire for sleep; I cannot sleep comfortably in anything else. No one is permitted to enter my room when I'm asleep, with thoughts of tomorrow I slightly drifted into my sleep., ."
